But this one changed my mind. This Japanese Curry Chicken Don by Don by TSF via AirAsia Food (non-halal) is what I had for lunch today.
The reason why I decided to try it is because the curry paste is made from scratch and not those ready made ones. So I was curious.
And yes, it was very good, unlike the ones that I have eaten at Japanese restaurants. This one is more alive with the aromatic undertones of curry as we know it locally. But of course, don't compare this to Indian curry or Malay curry or Chinese curry that you get at chap fan stalls. It is obviously not the same.
This don comes with deep fried chicken thigh chunks, doused in homemade Japanese curry sauce (with carrots and onions), rice, soft boiled egg and pickled cucumber. It was a very generous serving, I was so full after this meal.
These two dishes are of course best consumed right away but I kept them for my dinner. Since I was ordering a don, why not order more for later, right?
At the moment there is a promo code that entitles you to a 20% discount with minimum spend of RM20.00 (discount capped at RM8.00). Use the code DONTSF and order here. I am not paid to promote this yah, jangan salah faham pulak. Just spreading the word. All good things must be shared.
In my opinion Don by TSF deserve to do well simply because not only is the food well prepared and tastes awesome, but much care and effort has been taken in the food presentation as well.
A word on the AirAsia food delivery platform. So far I find that the delivery is reliable and the food arrives on time and in good condition.
I usually pre-order the day before and will leave a remark in the order instruction that this is a pre-order to avoid confusion of the part of the supplier. I guess I have a few more restaurant to try out on AirAsia Food.
